This year’s Raleigh GlenLake Fall Festival wasn’t just about food trucks, crisp autumn air, and fun—it was a celebration with heart! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we teamed up with one of our GlenLake customers, the American Cancer Society, to make a meaningful impact in our community.
All month long, QR codes on bright signage were placed throughout our buildings, giving customers the chance to donate anytime they passed through lobbies, elevators, or common areas. Each donation—whether made before the festival or during the big day—earned a pink breast cancer awareness pinwheel placed in our Plaza. By festival’s end, the Plaza was a whimsical sea of spinning pinwheels, each one representing the generosity of our GlenLake community.
Adding extra excitement, the American Cancer Society brought their giant pink chair, and it quickly became the must-visit selfie spot. Guests climbed aboard, struck fun poses, and shared smiles—all in support of a powerful cause.
Highwoods proudly matched all customer donations, bringing the total contribution to $1,080—doubling our impact and showing the power of coming together for a cause.
From pinwheels to pink chairs, this festival reminded us what makes GlenLake special: a community that celebrates, supports, and gives back. A huge thank-you to everyone who donated, participated, and joined in the fun—together, we turned our Fall Festival into a memorable celebration of hope, community, and positive impact.
