Charlotte Skyline during the morning

We’re excited to share that Highwoods has acquired the Legacy Union Parking Garage in Uptown Charlotte, expanding our footprint in one of the city’s most vibrant business districts.

The 3,057-space garage supports 1.2 million square feet of Highwoods-owned office space at Legacy Union, including Bank of America Tower and 650 South Tryon, and connects directly to both buildings via a skybridge—making access easy and convenient for office customers.

This strategic investment strengthens our presence at Legacy Union while delivering immediate financial benefits. Most of the garage’s revenue comes from long-term office customers, with additional activity driven by events at nearby Bank of America Stadium.

“Our acquisition of the Legacy Union Parking Garage improves connectivity for our office customers and strengthens our long-term growth in Uptown Charlotte,” said Ted Klinck, President and CEO of Highwoods Properties.

This addition reinforces our focus on smart, complementary investments that enhance the customer experience and support growth in our core markets.
